Internet Safety Lesson on Cyber Safety, Digital Citizenship, & Cyberbullying
This Internet Safety lesson addresses: Keeping our personal information private, using our manners online - netiquette, cyberbullying tactics, and how to handle cyberbullying.
These days, children spend a lot of time surfing the internet. From watching videos on YouTube to playing video games online, children are exposed to many dangers. Through a teacher-led interactive presentation, short video clips, and group collaboration, students will learn about protecting personal information, using manners while interacting with others online, cyberbullying tactics, and how to handle cyberbullying. Students will have the opportunity to discuss and share their learning through fun, informal assessments such as helping the superhero protect her personal information to get through a maze, fill-in-the-blank questions/answers, and a fun Kahoot review game. Follow up the lesson with color by code activity.
