Sea of Feelings Coloring Emotions Worksheet Feelings Activity
These coloring sheets are incredibly flexible and can be utilized in a wide range of settings, whether you're working individually with a student, in a small group, or with the whole class. They offer a multitude of benefits and can be employed in numerous scenarios, such as:
- Helping to calm down an upset student
- Providing an outlet for an angry student to express their feelings
- Facilitating a safe space for a group of students in conflict to share their emotions
- Supporting students in a Grief group, Divorce & Separation group, or New Student Group
- Engaging students in Classroom Guidance sessions on recognizing feelings or at the beginning of a new school year
Directions:
- Color the picture using any colors you prefer, in any way you like.
- Once you've finished coloring, label the feelings portrayed. For instance, if you primarily feel sad and your picture is predominantly blue, color the corresponding box with the word "sad" in blue. If you only feel slightly shy and your picture contains a hint of purple, color the "shy" box with purple.
- Encourage students to share their completed pictures and discuss the feelings they've represented.
- Alternately, color the emotions first and then color the picture with the amount. For instance, if you primarily feel sad and the sad emotion box is colored blue, then your picture will be predominantly blue.
