This is a companion lesson for Julia Cook’s book, Smarter than the SCOOPERS. This lesson includes a fun, interactive PowerPoint presentation reinforcing the SCOOP acronym for personal safety. Following a discussion about the book, students practice as a class identifying safe and unsafe situations while learning personal safety tips for very real situations. After the class practice, students break into groups to discuss situations in which they decide what to do to stay safe. Finally, students can create a page corner bookmark to remember the SCOOP safety tips.

***This download does not include Smarter than the Scoopers story or the book. You may purchase the book on several book-selling sites.***
