SEL Coping Skills Strategies Snowman Snow Feelings Emotions I Message Lesson
Teach primary students critical SEL coping skills with this engaging Feelings & I Messages Lesson! Identify feelings, manage emotions, & practice effective communication using "I" messages through interactive activities. Perfect for teaching social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, and feelings identification, this no-prep resource includes everything you need for a successful classroom or small group lesson.
How It Works:
- Feelings Introduction: Begin by discussing pleasant and unpleasant feelings. Click on snowman icons in the interactive slideshow to explore emotions in detail.
- Feelings Practice: Students identify emotions in animated Snow Globe Scenarios where swirling snow reveals the correct feeling.
- I Messages: Teach the three parts of an "I" message. Students practice creating their own and apply their learning in the Build a Snowman game, where correct answers build a snowman step by step.
- Extension Activities: Reinforce skills with the "I" Message Memory Game or the Color by Code Frosty’s Feelings activity.
