Good Manners & Respect Lesson Classroom Behavior Character Education Activities
Teach your students about having manners, respect and respectful behavior in the classroom! This SEL Character Education role-playing lesson will have your students actively engaged as they step into the role of actors in three thrilling courtroom scenes!
Start with a group activity: It's thumbs up or thumbs down time! Students give a thumbs up if the scenario demonstrates respect, and a thumbs down if it doesn't. Click through the slides to reveal if the class nailed it!
Then transform your classroom into a lively courtroom where students act out three fascinating cases to determine the verdict of being respectful or not:
- Case #1: The Case of the Talking Trick or Treaters
- Case #2: The Case of Cindy Ella
- Case #3: An Out of this World Case
The rest of your students become the esteemed jury, deliberating and deciding the fate of the defendants.
The final activity has your students showcasing their creativity and teamwork as they come together to craft a fantastic banner of respect.
